Gardai in Limerick have arrested two more people in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Kieran Keane in the city on Wednesday night.
The man and woman were arrested just before 8am in the Tipperary area and have been taken to Mayorstone garda station for questioning. The pair, both in their 30s, can be held for up to three days.
Another man and a woman were also arrested yesterday in connection with the murder, which gardai believe is connected to a long-running family feud.
Mr Keane's body was found on a roadside near the village of Drombana at around 9.30pm on Wednesday. His hands were tied behind his back and he had a gunshot wound to his head.
Another man was also seriously injured, but he crawled from the scene and raised the alarm and is now in a serious condition in hospital.
The shooting is believed to be linked to the alleged abduction of two brothers in the Ballynanty area of Limerick eight days ago. The brothers turned up safe and well yesterday morning just hours after Mr Keane's execution.
