Met Éireann has today issued a rainfall warning for Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

Spells of heavy rain will affect southern coastal counties at times and residents have been warned of the likelihood of spot flooding.

Some 25-35mm of rain is likely, according to forecasts.

The outlook for the weekend is for humid weather with more showers.
