Two held after Cork drugs seizure

Gardaí are continuing to hold a man and a woman in custody in relation to a drugs seizure in Co Cork yesterday.

Gardaí are continuing to hold a man and a woman in custody in relation to a drugs seizure in Co Cork yesterday.

The 30-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were arrested following the discovery of one kg of heroin during a raid on a house in Blarney on Friday night.

They are being held at Gurranabraher and Bridewell garda stations under the Drug Trafficking Act.

The drugs have an estimated street value of €200,000.

The raid was part of an ongoing operation by the Cork city divisional drugs unit.
