Juventus have had no contact from Manchester City over goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, according to the Italian club’s director general Jean-Claude Blanc.
The Italy shotstopper has emerged as the latest target for City’s big-spending owners, with reports suggesting a bid of €75m had been tabled.
Bianconeri coach Claudio Ranieri said yesterday he is not for sale, and Blanc confirmed to L’Equipe: “We have received no offer from Manchester City for Gigi.
“We haven’t had the slightest bit of contact with this club. He isn’t for sale.
“Buffon will stay at Juventus for the next few years and play with us, in our new stadium, in the 2011-12 season.
“If, and I really mean if, an offer of €75m was to come in, it would be a ’no’.”
