Gardai, PSNI aid children's holiday fund

The Garda Siochana and the Police Service of Northern Ireland will today give a major boost to an effort to bring children who lost parents on September 11 on holiday to Ireland.

The Garda Siochana and the Police Service of Northern Ireland will today give a major boost to an effort to bring children who lost parents on September 11 on holiday to Ireland.

Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne and his Northern counterpart Ronnie Flanagan will hand over a cheque for $232,000 (€264,000) to victims' relatives.

The two men will make the presentation at Garda headquarters in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
