Nine men have died following accidents on Ireland’s roads over the weekend.

The latest victims were a pedestrian in his 60s and an 18-year-old motorist who both died in hospital last night from injuries they received in separate accidents in Westport, Co Mayo, and Aughintemple, Co Longford, early yesterday.

A 38-year-old motorcyclist and an 18-year-old man also died in separate accidents in Co Cork yesterday afternoon, while another five men were killed in three accidents in Leitrim, Donegal and Wexford on Saturday.
