Minor surgery for Ince

Wolves captain Paul Ince has undergone a minor operation to remove an ingrowing toe nail.

Wolves captain Paul Ince has undergone a minor operation to remove an ingrowing toe nail.

The combative midfielder is recovering at home following the surgery and is expected to be fit for the match with Fulham at Molineux on February 21.

Ince is suspended for the next two Barclaycard Premiership fixtures, Saturday’s game with Arsenal and Tuesday’s fixture at Leeds.

Ince has picked up 10 bookings so far this season and sits out the two games, giving him the chance to have the minor operation.

Wolves physio Barry Homes told the club website, www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk: “Paul has been suffering for the last couple of games but he’s played through it.

"With his suspension coming up we decided that this would be an ideal time for him have the minor surgery needed to solve the problem.

“It all went well and he should be fine for when we play Fulham as he’ll have the best part of three weeks to get fully fit again.”
