Reports from Limerick say gangsters are playing video tapes of their interviews with gardaí in pubs.
The tapes are being shown to prove to gang bosses that they have not told gardaí anything.
Typically, three copies of the interview are held.
One for gardaí, one as a master copy and the other for defendants.
The final one can be released through a solicitor's application.
It is not illegal to view the videos outide Garda stations.
