A Bangladeshi university has discovered rat in its chicken curry.

A Bangladeshi university has discovered rat in its chicken curry.

Official at Rajshahi University in the west of the country have now ordered an extermination of the rodents after hundreds of students called for action against the chef, who has now been suspended.

A spokesman said: "One student detected the head of a rat while eating his lunch. That student instantly suffered a stomach upset."

University proctor Chowdhury Mohammad Zakaria said it was a "very unfortunate incident" adding: "I must say that if I found rat meat in my food, I also would not be able to control my temper."
