Galway United must plan without Alan Murphy as they travel north to take on Finn Harps in tonight’s FAI Ford Cup third round clash at Finn Park.

Murphy is recovering from a fractured ankle and he won't be available this side of the break.

Shane Fitzgerald is in a similar situation, while Sean Kelly suffered a knee ligament tear against St Pat’s in May and the Kerry native is still recovering.

On Kelly's and Fitzgerald's injuries Galway boss Ian Foster said: "Sean and Shane were straight line running before the Drogheda game, and neither of them will be back in contention until after the break.

"We'll go into the game with Ger Hanley coming back, he's been studying for the Leaving Certificate, and we'll be as strong as we possibly can.

"Ballybofey is never an easy place to go to. They're a very competitive side. Form goes out the window in cup competitions."
