Fine Gael has attacked Micheal Martin's opposition the property tax - describing the Fianna Fáil leader's stance as "stomach churning".

Fine Gael TD Damien English was responding to the Fianna Fáil leader's claim that now is "not the right time" for the introduction of a property tax.

Deputy English accused Mr Martin of blatant hypocrisy because a Fianna Fáil-led government had previously agreed to introduce it:
