Westlife tonight played a rare low-key concert to an intimate crowd of competition winners.
The singers performed a short set to around 400 fans who had won tickets from their local independent radio stations across the North of England.
During the show, which formed part of the opening night of Manchester nightclub Lucid, the record-breaking outfit enjoyed some of the traditional perks of the job, struggling to hear themselves over the sound of screaming girls and fielding underwear thrown at them from the audience.
At one point, the five men even appeared embarrassed as one over-zealous fan managed to make her way on to the stage and expose herself before being ushered away by security guards.
Several hundred others, including a host of stars from soap operas Coronation Street, Brookside and Hollyoaks, watched the concert on screens from elsewhere in the club.
