Cork City Council has issued a Code Level Orange weather warning, with heavy rains forecast in the county.

Cork City Council has issued a Code Level Orange weather warning, with heavy rains forecast in the county.

"Heavy incessant falls of rain occurring overnight Thursday and on Friday," the warning states.

"Significant totals, leading to spot flooding and treacherous driving conditions.

"45 to 75mm possible, highest totals for higher ground."

The warning is valid just past midnight on Friday morning through to 11.59pm on Friday.
