Irish Red Cross seeks funds for Beslan school siege victims

The Irish branch of the Red Cross has appealed for funds to help the victims of last week’s school siege in the Russian town of Beslan.

The Irish branch of the Red Cross has appealed for funds to help the victims of last week’s school siege in the Russian town of Beslan.

The aid agency has mobilised psychologists and nursing staff to help those injured or affected by the siege.

The Irish branch of UNICEF has also pledged €100,000 to the victims of the tragedy and is appealing for further donations from the public.
