Post mortem results on the body of a woman whose body was recovered from a bog in Co Westmeath yesterday are expected to show she died from stab wounds.

The body of 37-year-old Marie Greene was recovered yesterday, more than a week after she was reported missing from her home in Athlone.

A 62-year-old local man has been charged with her murder.
