Tralee General Hospital has announced plans to close 30 beds for the summer months in an effort to cut costs.

Tralee General Hospital has announced plans to close 30 beds for the summer months in an effort to cut costs.

The hospital is also planning to restrict elective surgery and out-patient visits due to budgetary constraints.

The Co Kerry hospital, which has an annual budget of €52m, had already overspent by €300,000 at the end of February.
