Telecoms giant Vodafone and rival 3 have secured the rights to show Premiership football action on customers’ phones.
The three-year deal with the FA Premier League covers the broadcast of video match highlights and other footage from the start of next season.
Hutchison-owned 3 already has the rights to provide highlights for its video phone customers this season. No exact value has been put on today’s deal, which saw Vodafone and 3 team up to make a joint bid.
