A seminar on the recession and employment, hosted by one of Ireland's leading migrant women's organisations, will be held in Waterford this morning.
It is the fifth of eight events being held by AkiDwa throughout the month in order to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
It will hear how people from certain communities can find it harder than others to find work, often experiencing a unique set of barriers when trying to access the labour market here.
The seminar aims to bring together migrant women in the Waterford area with employers, state agencies and NGOs.
