Gardaí have rearrested a murder suspect freed from prison last week when the Director of Public Prosecutions failed to produce a Book of Evidence in time.
Gregory Conway, 36, of no fixed abode, is accused of killing Louth native Liam Maguire in June.
He is also also charged with the manslaughter of Denis Quinlivan in Limerick in 1991.
Conway was released on Friday despite the State being granted two extensions and a formal warning by Cloverhill District Court that he would be freed unless it presented its case.
Conway is due to appear before Dublin District Criminal Court again later today.
Under the Criminal Procedure Act 1967, where an accused is sent forward for trial, he or she must be served with a book of evidence, containing details of the case against the accused – chiefly witness statements and a list of any exhibits.
The book must be served within 42 days but the DPP failed to produce it.
