Ebay boom for million-euro businesses

The number of million-pound businesses trading on eBay has grown 10-fold since the start of the recession, according to figures today.

The number of small firms trading online with a turnover of more than £1m (€1.2m) is set to reach more than 120 by the end of the year, a study found.

Jody Ford, of eBay, said: “It is tremendous to see this surge in the number of thriving small to medium-sized firms and start-ups at a time when the rest of the economy has been struggling.”
