Pavarotti gains daughter but loses son
Tenor Luciano Pavarotti’s lover has given birth to a baby daughter but lost a twin son, it was reported in Italy today.
Nicoletta Mantovani underwent an emergency caesarian operation yesterday after hospital doctors in Bologna noticed that one of the twins was no longer receiving any oxygen.
The baby girl, who was several weeks premature, weighed 3 lbs 12 ounces and doctors said she was in “good condition.”
