Heavy rainfall overnight has resulted in flooding in many parts of the country again this morning.

The east of the country has borne the brunt of the latest problems, with the Finglas and Lucan areas of Dublin particularly hard-hit.

The M50 and the N3 are both now open after overnight flood blockages, but motorists are advised to take care on the routes due to surface water.

More heavy rain is also forecast for later today in all parts of the country.
