The 24th running of the Ballycotton 10 road race next month is set to be the highest-profile ever, despite its postponement due to foot-and-mouth in March.

Race organisers have secured the presence of former world cross-country champion Sonia O'Sullivan, who is being brought to the East Cork coastal resort by Nike, who sponsor both the race and the athlete.

Despite coming from nearby Cobh, it's the first time ever that O'Sullivan will have competed in the race.
