Ryanair Holdings PLC said will suspend its Strasbourg-London route from Sept 24 as a result of a dispute with an appeals court in France.
Earlier this month, the Dublin-based low-cost airline lodged a request, along with Strasbourg Airport and the Strasbourg Chamber of Commerce, with the Nancy Court of Appeal, for a stay on its July decision that required the regional Chamber of Commerce to end its commercial agreement with the airline on September 24.
The French court ruled on July 27 that aid granted by the Strasbourg Chamber of Commerce to Ryanair was illegal.
Ryanair said it still had not received confirmation from the court on the stay.
The airline has said that in order to give passengers at least four weeks notice, that effective September 24 next, the two daily Strasbourg-London flights will be suspended and will operate instead to Baden Baden Airport in Germany.
The airline also said that if it receives a stay on the judgement or wins the appeal, it will make arrangements to recommence the route.
