Reserve striker Stephen Ward was Bohs' supersub as he scored twice to ease the Gypsies through to the quarter-finals against gallant non-leaguers Skerries.

Skerries held out until the 36th minute when Dave Morrison latched onto a rebound to shoot past player/boss Alan Sweeney.

Skerries weren't helped by the 65th minute sending off of Ed Doherty, their goal hero in the last round, for an elbowing offence.

Ward, a 73rd minute substitute, then sealed the match for Bohs with his first on 79 minutes before adding the third six minutes from time.
