Magistretti remains firmly on target for the Vodafone Coronation Cup after pleasing in a gallop after racing at Newmarket on Saturday.

The four-year-old will be having his first race for 10 months in the Group One contest at Epsom on June 4.

“It was just an ordinary bit of work but he did what I asked him to do with his lead horse and he’s fine,” said the Newmarket handler.

“The Coronation Cup, the day before the Derby, that’s the plan.

“There have been no problems with him. That was always the idea. He hasn’t run since the Juddmonte at York last August. That’s a long time but he seems OK,” he added.
