The 16 crew of a British trawler have been forced to abandon ship after it sprang a leak in the Atlantic.

The 16 crew of a British trawler have been forced to abandon ship after it sprang a leak in the Atlantic.

The Maritime Rescue office in Finisterre, Spain said the men were in two lifeboats about 100 miles north of La Coruna.

It said the lifeboats have been spotted, but it was not known if the crew had been rescued.
