Wal-Mart quarterly earnings have been boosted by strong sales growth at its US stores.
Wal-Mart's second-quarter net earnings climbed to $2.04bn (€2.08bn) from $1.62bn (€1.66bn)
Total sales stood at $59.69bn (€61.07bn) at the end of the quarter, up from $52.8bn (€54bn) a year ago.
Sales at Wal-Mart stores alone climbed 14.1% to $38.64bn (€39.5bn).
International sales -which includes Asda - climbed 15.9%, while sales at its SAM's Club segment rose 9.2%.
