A woman stabbed to death in Co Tyrone was today named as Luisa Cabral Pereira Silva.

A woman stabbed to death in Co Tyrone was today named as Luisa Cabral Pereira Silva.

The victim, 29, was found in Merron Mews, Dungannon, at 3.30pm yesterday. She is from East Timor but was living at Lisnahull Road in the town.

Detectives are pursuing a definite motive for the murder.

Another migrant worker, 36, remains in a critical condition in hospital after also suffering stab wounds in the incident.

DUP Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Lord Morrow condemned the “vicious and brutal incident”.
