Gardaí appeal for information in Co Louth murder

Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the murder of a 32-year-old man in Co Louth over the weekend are appealing for information from the public.

Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the murder of a 32-year-old man in Co Louth over the weekend are appealing for information from the public.

They've asked anybody who saw anything suspicious in the Togher area on Friday night or Saturday morning to come forward.

Lee Conkey's body was discovered by passers-by at a laneway near a quarry in Togher on Saturday afternoon. He had been strangled.

Gardaí are trying to establish where the murder actually took place before Mr Conkey's body was dumped in the remote area.
