Robbie Kelleher scored twice as Rovers breezed past a disappointing Longford at Tolka Park to earn their first win back in the Premier Division.
Rovers ran the first half and deservedly took the lead on 34 minutes.
Jamie Duffy's pass found Kelleher who shot past Town keeper Shay Kelly.
Kelleher added his second when shooting home from Andy Myler's pass eight minutes into the second half to seal the points.
