A 27-year-old truck driver was killed today when the articulated lorry he was driving overturned on the M50.
The vehicle crashed on the northbound side of the carriageway at junction three, near the new slip road heading north on to the M1, at about 6.10am.
A specialist crane was called in to lift the articulated lorry off the busy road which was disrupted by several hours of delays during the Dublin rush hour.
Gardaí said the man had been travelling alone and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Road traffic officers at Santry are investigating and the scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
