Wexford hurling boss Seamus Murphy has admitted the door is still open for former skipper Paul Codd in light of his side's run of comprehensive league defeats in recent weeks.
Codd retired from the county set-up last year citing work commitments but rumours persisted of a falling-out with Murphy's predecessor.
Murphy said: "I've never closed the door on Paul for I feel he has still much to offer the team. I understand his predicament but having watched him with Rathnure on a few occasions over the past month, he's hurling as well as ever, even playing out of the centre-back position."
