DCC in shares purchase

Business support services group DCC plc has announced that it yesterday purchased 1,038,311 of its own shares at a price of €17.90 per share and at a total cost of €18.8m, including stamp duty and commission.

Business support services group DCC plc has announced that it yesterday purchased 1,038,311 of its own shares at a price of €17.90 per share and at a total cost of €18.8m, including stamp duty and commission.

The 1,038,311 shares purchased are to be held as Treasury Shares.

The purchase represents 1.29% of its issued share capital (excluding Treasury Shares).

DCC now has a total of 8,526,489 shares held in Treasury and 79,702,915 shares in issue, excluding the Treasury Shares.

DCC has bought back a total of 10,247,231 shares, being 11.61% of its current issued share capital, since July 2000 at an average price per share of €11.23 and at a total cost of €116.5m including stamp duty and commission.
