Celtic defender Ulrik Laursen has confirmed Leicester have made enquiries about his availability.
The former Hibernian full-back has only been a bit-part player in the Hoops’ team this season. But the 29-year-old has attracted the attention of Foxes’ boss Craig Levein, who has already signed Momo Sylla from the Parkhead club and is looking at the possibility of recruiting goalkeeper Rob Douglas.
But the Dane is now waiting to speak to new Celtic Park manager Gordon Strachan before talking to the Coca-Cola Championship side.
Laursen told Danish newspaper BT: “I know Leicester have inquired about me. It does not sound uninteresting. They were interested in me back in January. In case there is no future here, Leicester is a good option.”
He added: “The new manager will talk to all the players to determine who has a future at the club.”
Laursen joined Celtic in the summer of 2001 and still has two years of his current deal to run.
