The jury in Ian Bailey's High Court action against An Garda Síochána and the State for alleged conspiracy is expected to begin deliberating on a verdict today.

The defendants deny the claims and the jury heard closing arguments in the case on Friday.

59-year-old Bailey from Schull in Co. Cork has sued for damages over his treatment during the investigation into the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Cork in 1996.

The case began on November 4 last year.
