A second group of Irish citizens is being evacuated from Beirut today amid the Israeli military's on-going bombardment of Lebanon.

A second group of Irish citizens is being evacuated from Beirut today amid the Israeli military's on-going bombardment of Lebanon.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is arranging to transport around 50 people to safe locations outside the country, from where they can make onward travel plans.

Yesterday, more than 80 Irish people evacuated from Lebanon on Monday arrived in Dublin Airport having been taken to Syria by bus and then flown to Dubai.
