O' Rourke under fire for terminal decision

The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association has criticised the Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O’Rourke, for her decision to give control of the proposed new low cost terminal at Dublin airport to Aer Rianta.

The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association has criticised the Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O’Rourke, for her decision to give control of the proposed new low cost terminal at Dublin airport to Aer Rianta.

ISME say that if the Minister had taken on board the recommendations made by the private sector, she would have entrusted to new terminal to the interests of market-led companies.

The ISME Chief Executive says that Aer Rianta should not have been asked to be involved in the development of the new terminal because it was against its creation in the past and instead private companies should be allowed to tender for the contract.
