Plans for Imperial Commander remain fluid after the Paddy Power Gold Cup winner was not declared for the Levy Board Chase at Kempton yesterday.
Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies is to discuss all the options with the eight-year-old’s owners, Our Friends In The North, before making any decision.
“There are no plans at the moment. We’re looking at the weather and other things,” said the Naunton-based handler.
“I haven’t discussed it with the owners, everything’s in the air at the moment.
“The horse is in very good form.”
Imperial Commander, last seen finishing sixth to Kauto Star in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day, holds an entry in the Racing Post Chase back there on Saturday.
He is also engaged in the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Ryanair Chase and the John Smith’s Grand National.
