Two men remain in garda custody this morning following the seizure of nearly €500,000 worth of cannabis in Limerick.

Two men remain in garda custody this morning following the seizure of nearly €500,000 worth of cannabis in Limerick.

Cannabis herb and cannabis plants at different stages of harvesting were discovered following raids on four different locations in the Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale areas yesterday.

Two men - aged 39 and 36 - were arrested.

They are currently being detained at Newcastle West and Henry Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
