A woman has been killed and three other tourists seriously injured when a rockfall crushed their car in the eastern Swiss Alps.
About 50 cubic metres of rock broke away from the side of the mountain and landed on the vehicle on a road on the Swiss-Austrian-Italian border.
Another driver raised the alarm and rescuers managed to release the four occupants but a 50-year-old Swiss woman died on the scene.
A man was flown to a hospital with serious injuries, while two other women suffered minor injuries. Police said the four had been on vacation in the nearby ski resort of Scuol.
