Clare's David Forde has been drafted in to replace Eamon Corcoran in the Irish hurling-shinty squad to face Scotland on Sunday.

Corcoran will be away in New York playing for Tipperary. Irish selector Nicky Brennan admitted: "We've brought David in because we believe he can do an equally good job for us.

"It would be naive to think that everybody would be available to us. That's just not reality because top players always have other commitments."

Wexford's David 'Doc' O'Connor also joins the squad.
