The trial of a Lithuanian man charged with raping and threatening to kill a 27-year-old Russian woman in Waterford last year continues in legal argument at the Central Criminal Court today.

The trial of a Lithuanian man charged with raping and threatening to kill a 27-year-old Russian woman in Waterford last year continues in legal argument at the Central Criminal Court today.

The 20-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to rape and sexual assault of the woman, making a threat to kill her and assaulting her causing her harm on March 19, 2006 at an apartment in Waterford.

Mr Justice Barry White sent the jury home until tomorrow morning saying that a legal issue which began on Friday "had not concluded".
