Medvedev to visit Poland
Russian president Dmitry Medvedev will visit Poland on December 6 in a visit described by his Polish counterpart as a step in a difficult process of reconciliation between the nations.
Tensions still run deep over Russia’s past domination of Poland, most recently during the Cold War.
The death in April of president Bronislaw Komorowski’s predecessor Lech Kaczynski, in a plane crash in Russia, spurred the new efforts between the two countries.
