Cashel: Gardaí launch investigation into attack on patrol car

Gardaí in Tipperary have appealed for information in their investigation into an incident in which a garda patrol car was set alight.

Gardaí in Tipperary have appealed for information in their investigation into an incident in which a garda patrol car was set alight.

It happened in the early hours of this morning outside Cashel garda station.

Gardaí say they are treating the incident very seriously.

“We are appealing for anyone that was in the area, if they saw anything suspicious to contact us immediately,” said Sergeant Liam Lynch.

“We view this as an attack on the Garda Síochána and, in particular on the Garda Síochána in Cashel.”
