Third man arrested in Belgium drugs seizure probe

A third man has been arrested in connection with a €25m drugs seizure in Belgium in August.

A third man has been arrested in connection with a €25m drugs seizure in Belgium in August.

He was detained in Dublin last night under drug trafficking legislation and taken to Carrickmacross Garda station.

The two Limerick men arrested on Saturday are still being held for questioning.

One has been transferred to Castleblayney garda station, the other remains in custody in Carrickmacross.

They had their period of detention extended for a further 72 hours yesterday morning.
