Port of Cork to receive 3,500 tonnes of salt

A further shipment of salt is due to arrive at the Port of Cork this morning.

A further shipment of salt is due to arrive at the Port of Cork this morning.

The MV Blue Bay will deliver 3,500 tonnes of much-needed salt to help grit the country's roads.

This is the third shipment of salt - bringing to 11,450 tonnes - the amoung of salt that has passed through the Port of Cork to the surrounding regions in just over a week.
