Six men attacked in Belfast

Four people are being treated in hospital in Belfast following a stabbing on Cromwell Road in South Belfast this morning.

Four people are being treated in hospital in Belfast following a stabbing on Cromwell Road in South Belfast this morning.

One man has been arrested.

All four are said to be in a stable condition.

Also this morning, two men were attacked in the Belfast's city centre.

Police say a number of men emerged from two cars and assaulted them in Waring Street and Bridge Street.

One man received serious facial injuries and is detained in hospital.

The second was hit on the head with a bottle but managed to escape.

He was treated in hospital and later released.
