The search for Olaf Jansenn, a Swedish man who went missing on Tuesday while hiking in County Kerry, has been called off for the night.

The search for Olaf Jansenn, a Swedish man who went missing on Tuesday while hiking in County Kerry, has been called off for the night.

Over 200 people helped Kerry Mountain Rescue cover more than 150 square kilometres of the MacGillicuddy Reeks today, searching for the 22-year-old.

A man wearing a blue climbing jacket and carrying a green rucksack was seen in the Blackvalley area on Wednesday afternoon.

Gardaí are trying to ascertain if this was the missing Swedish man or another hiker.
