An explosion in the southern city of Basra has destroyed two cars on a road frequently used by British troops.

An explosion in the southern city of Basra has destroyed two cars on a road frequently used by British troops.

Soldiers immediately blocked off access to the site.

Iraqi police later said that four civilians were killed and three injured in the blast.
